The Alpha Course, a practical exploration of Christianity, has spread very rapidly around the world from its beginnings in England and has proved to be of great interest to both long-time churchgoers and also to skeptical people who have serious questions about the faith.

Acton Congregational Church runs one course each year, providing a free buffet dinner to begin each week’s class and an opportunity to discuss each topic in a friendly, un-pressured small group setting. In the middle of each course is a day and a half “weekend away” in nearby Weston, which gives participants a chance to explore some topics in greater depth. More details are provided at free informational dinners that precede each course.

The next Informational Dinner will be held at the church on Monday, September 19, 2011 in Hartman Hall. The next Alpha course will begin the following week, Monday, September 26 in Hartman Hall.
