Worship at Acton Congregational Church

Our Mission Statement says, " The mission of the Acton Congregational Church, which it
shares with the Church Universal, is to preach and teach the good news of the salvation
that was secured for us at great cost through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus.
The church encourages each individual to accept the gift of Christ and to respond to God’s
love by taking part in worship, ministry to one another and the Christian nurture of people
of all ages. With the guidance of the Holy Spirit we are called as servants of Christ to
live our faith in our daily lives and to reach out to people of this community and the world
with love, care and concern for both their physical and spiritual needs."
Acton Congregational Church membership is drawn from a wide variety of Christian traditions and
personal expressions of faith. We appreciate and respect that people are at different places on
their faith journey. The important point is that we are moving in the same direction, to a
deeper relationship with Christ. We are a community of faith, seeking to answer Christ's call
by helping people live out their discipleship in our church, the community and the world.
Acton Congregational Church is an orthodox, Trinitarian church firmly rooted in the Reformed tradition.
Worship is semi-liturgical, and the traditional language of Father, Son and Holy Spirit is used for God.
