Acton Congregational celebrated the 20th anniversary of its handbell program in May of 2002. The Bell program is very active and has 4 separate choirs.



Adult Bells welcomes those who have some experience playing handbells and enjoy playing a variety of Level 3 and 4 pieces. It rehearses weekly and performs once a month, usually at the 8:45 service. There are generally 12 ringers in this choir, plus experienced substitutes. Open to college students and adults.


High School Bell Ensemble is open to high school aged students. Both young men and women enjoy this ensemble, where they hone their ringing skills and learn to work cooperatively. They rehearse weekly and perform once a month in worship.


Youth Bell Choir is for 7th and 8th grade students. In this beginning youth choir, students learn how to ring and develop an understanding of ensemble performance. The Youth Bell Choir rehearses weekly and performs once a month in worship.
