Acton Congregational has five vocal choirs, in which over
100 people sing.

The
Senior Choir welcomes those who love singing a variety
of choral music. It rehearses and sings weekly, usually at the
10:45 service, performing works by Schutz, Mozart and Brahms
through Rutter and Jane Marshall. Two times per year, this
group will perform a large work as part of worship. Recent
pieces include Haydn Lord Nelson Mass, Bach Cantata No. 4, and
the Britten Ceremony of Carols. Open to high school aged
students to adults.

The
One Voice Choir rehearses every other week and sings
once per month, usually at the 8:45 service. One
Voice usually performs music that is more contemporary. They are
often called upon to perform with other choirs, especially the
Adult Bell, Sing Out, and Junior Choirs. Open to high school
aged students to adults.
Sing Out Choir is an ensemble made up primarily of high
school students; although junior high students are also welcome.
There is an emphasis on fellowship and growing together in this
newly-formed choir. This choir rehearses weekly and sings occasionally
in worship.
Junior Choir is open to children in grades 4-8. Junior
Choir members begin learning to sight read and sing in parts.
It usually performs an end-of-the-year cantata in June. The
junior choir rehearses weekly and performs once a month at
the 8:45 service.
Children's Choir is open to children from grades K-3. Children
learn to praise God with their singing and begin to understand
how music plays an important part in worship. This young choir
rehearses each week and performs once a month at the 10:45 service.
