Missions and Outreach

"Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven."

ACC is active in reaching out into the local community to make real the Christian commitment to the service of God and God's people.

We Build

We help build homes with Habitat for Humanity North Central Massachusetts (www.ncmhabitat.org).

We Cook

On the third Thursday of each month, we gather in our kitchen to prepare a meal, then transport it to Lazarus House in Lawrence (www.lazarushouse.org), where we serve and share it with clients who need our support.

We Give

Each Christmas, members may choose an ornament from our Mitten Tree and purchase gifts for the:

Each Christmas, we fill shoeboxes with necessities for inmates at the Concord Prison (www.concordprisonoutreach.org).

Each Christmas, we fill shoeboxes with toys and necessities for children from third world countries as part of Operation Christmas Child, a mission project of Samaritan’s Purse (www.samaritanspurse.org).

We hold food drives within the congregation to provide nonperishable food to Mount Cavalry Community Supper (www.mtcalvaryacton.org) and the Acton Food Pantry (www.actoncommunitysupper.org).

We hold drives to provide pots and pans and other household items to Household Goods Recycling of Massachusetts (www.householdgoods.org).

We Ring Bells

Look for us outside Roche Brothers in November and December as we ring bells for the Salvation Army (www.salvationarmyusa.org).

We Shop

On an as needed basis, volunteers provide bags of groceries for the Acton Food Pantry, part of Acton Community Supper Inc., a food pantry and clothing closet for those in need in Acton and neighboring towns (www.actoncommunitysupper.org).

We Walk

ACC’s Junior High Youth Fellowship joins other CROP Hunger Walk (www.cropwalk.org) participants in Concord each October to raise money to help stop hunger around the world.

ACC participates in Lazarus House's Hike for Hope (www.lazarushouse.org/hike-for-hope); all proceeds benefit the Lazarus House Transitional Housing Project, the bridge between homelessness and permanent housing.
