About the event
In this week’s Gospel, Jesus tells a parable about two men who come to the temple to pray—a confident Pharisee and a humble tax collector. One prays with pride, the other with repentance. One goes home unchanged, the other “justified.”
Through this story, we explore what it truly means to be made right with God—not through self-righteousness or comparison, but through humility and mercy. The prophet Joel reminds us that even after seasons of loss, God restores and renews. Together, these readings call us to let go of pride, embrace gratitude, and open our hearts to the Spirit’s transforming grace.
Join us this Sunday as we reflect on how prayer shapes the soul, humbles the heart, and prepares us—as individuals and as a church in transition—to walk faithfully in God’s love.
After worship, join us for Fellowship hour and meet new friends, discuss the service, and enjoy the day. No…
