Summer Book Study
Finally - A Beach Read with Depth. Pack This One in Your Bag

Theo of Golden by Allen Levi is warm, unhurried, and perfect for summer: the story of a mysterious 86-year-old Portuguese man who arrives in a small Southern town, buys 92 pencil portraits of the locals, and spends a year tracking down each person to return their portrait - asking only to hear their story.
No agenda. No rush. Just one person deciding that every life is worth noticing. It's a beach read that sneaks up on you.
This summer we're reading it together - exploring what Theo's gift of unhurried attention has to say about radical welcome and what it might mean for how we show up for each other.
Four weeks:
Wednesdays in person at ACC
Thursdays online - for those away or just more comfortable on the couch
We're gauging interest before finalizing times - and here's the easy part: if you'd like to join us, just let Karen know and she'll get a book in your hands. No need to track one down yourself.
Reach out to Rev. Karen at karen@actonc.org or sign up here. Bring lemonade. All are welcome.
