Food, Fellowship, Fun, and Flora! ACC Started off the Advent Season in Style
We had a ton of fun at Candles, Carols, and Crockpots! The evening started with tasty food and good company. After dinner, everyone got busy making beautiful advent wreaths. Congregation members used all the lovely greenery collected to create many beautiful decorations. Rev. Paulo joined in and made his first hand-made advent wreath!
Caroling was the next item on the agenda and Hartman Hall was soon filled with the voices of the Congregation joining together in their favorite hymns. Following some history on the origins of Advent wreaths presented by our younger Church members, the wreaths were then lit and the lights were dimmed for a final carol. It was a delightful moment!
Finally, our lovely day of fellowship and celebration ended with our third annual tree-lighting ceremony. This relatively new tradition for the Church was brought about in 2020 to provide a safe moment of fellowship and celebration during a winter when Covid-19 kept so many of us apart. It has continued as a cherished annual ACC event.
While the weather did not cooperate this year, the Congregation's spirits could not be dampened despite the drizzle. The entire party moved outside to witness the night lighting up with the sparkling beauty of the ACC Christmas tree. Our Sunday of Peace was filled to the brim this year with friends, family, faith and joy!
